All I have is 55 pounds. After last time and he was 49 I said he was too heavy for me to lift and weigh so Michael did it today (he weighs himself then picks him up and then figures the difference). I did take a video of him today though so enjoy :)
In the video he tried to follow Michael downstairs but I called him back. He was probably disappointed that he didn't get a treat but I was holding the camera. We enrolled him in obedience training to help out a little (we are on week 3 of 6). It is just helping reinforce the things that we had been teaching. The dog trainer (Pam) has also given us some pointers on the other problems we have been having with him. He is doing very well. He also goes to puppy play time on Friday evenings. There is a dog park at the park closest to us that we want to start taking him to. He should really like that...he really likes playing with other dogs. He is a very friendly dog...but then again labs are so that is no surprise. He is really getting big.

Mini Vacation
This past weekend I went on a mini vacation to South Carolina. It was my niece's and my new nephew's wedding reception. They were married in the OKC temple the previous week. Here are a couple photos:
On Saturday Kelly wanted to go to the beach with her kids. We went to Folly Beach near Charleston SC and it was sunny, hot, and wonderful :) We put sunscreen on but still got toasted. The Atlantic Ocean was warm...no wonder hurricanes form so easily. Here are some photos:
The one above was taken from the entrance to the beach. As you can see there were a lot of people there. The one below was taken to show that boat (I believe it was a catamaran). They took it out sailing until we couldn't see it off the horizon then brought it zig-zagging back to shore. Kinda cool to watch. Also in the photo there is a couple (it was actually a family but the rest of them were out in the ocean) there in black about in the middle but towards the bottom. We ended up sitting next to them and they had a watermelon and they shared half of it with us. It was seedless and we just thought that was really nice. Nice people still exist :) Actually everyone there were SO well behaved...I was impressed.
This last one is of a couple seagulls. There were lots of seagulls and I decided to get a photo.
The beautiful bride
The happy couple
I was amazed that I got this one with their mouths open. The cultural hall was beautifully decorated. Congratulations Rebecca and Alex!!On Saturday Kelly wanted to go to the beach with her kids. 4 months!!
Thor stats: 43.1 pounds
LOVES to play fetch. Will chase after a tennis ball and bring it back to you. Whether he lets go so you can throw it again is another story. Plays tug of war with the ball after he brings it back.
Loves to sleep on his back. Sleeps with Michael exclusively (yeah) except on Thursday night when he goes to institute and gets home past Thor's bedtime.
Most nights will crawl under the headboard of the waterbed and sleep there...makes his own crate minus a door.
Sleeps through the night but usually gets up between 7 and 8 to pee. Sometimes goes back to bed until 10am :)
During day favorite place to sleep is on the floor in front of the fireplace. It is hard and cold. His soft comfy doggy bed is close but he uses the doggy bed for playing with toys on.
Sit-check
Down-most of the time
Stay-still working on
Come here-check (so cool...I trained him in one session and he is VERY good at it)
Off-we're working on it
Walk on loose leash-almost
Potty trained-VERY close
Bowel trained-check. Even goes out the doggy door by himself!!
Still have a lot of training to work on but so far it is going pretty well. Deciding whether to put him in an obedience class. Have decided to take him to a puppy socialization class at PETCO on Friday evenings...first class tomorrow...and it is FREE!! We'll see how that goes.
He is a very people friendly dog. Reminds me so much of Buzz half the time I call him that. Of course he looks nothing like Buzz but he still reminds me of him.
He is also loosing baby teeth and getting permanent ones but it doesn't seem to bother him. Today I was pulling on a spiked teething ring with him and out popped a tooth. He snatched it up and ate it before I could even get to it. Wayne looked in his mouth and it was one of his canines.
Just got him a harness for his walks. Hopefully it will be easier to walk him on it.
We are enjoying having him as part of our family.

He was 3 months old here but it was the latest photo of his back sleeping.

He is getting BIG!!
Another post about Thor. Here are a couple comparison photos:
This is him when we first got his bed. It was taken March 31 when he was only 2 months old.
This is him today, May 18 and he is almost 4 months old. Yesterday (or the day before) he got that empty Juicy Juice bottle and it has proven better entertainment for him than anything in a LONG time. He is sleeping better at night and is going back to sleep in the morning lately which is nice. He is sleeping exclusively with Michael now because last time he slept with me he whined for him. I guess he really is Michael's puppy. He goes back to the vet a week from tomorrow so we will have another Thor update then.

What a difference...
a month makes.
In the top photo I was trying to get the creek in our back yard and you can probably see it full size. It is pretty much smack dab in the middle. Now we can only see green and what a pretty green it is. I just LOVE the green here!!
Today was Mother's Day and at church today they had all the women meet together for Relief Society. It was so nice to have us all together. Michael is in the Elder's Quorum Presidency (they finally announced the change in church today) and he and Wayne were asked to do sharing time in Primary. Well, Wayne hadn't been in Primary for over 30 years so Michael was elected to give the lesson since he had at least done it a few times on his mission. I hear it went well...at least everyone survived. In RS they served a meal. I had never been in a ward that did that before and it was very nice and tasty. But I ate the chocolate covered strawberries and 3 small sugar cookies so I lost a few points in my wellness challenge. BUT the strawberries were SO worth it :) Luckily for me they had a lot of veggies and fruit so that was good for my eating habits. Other than that life is all about Thor. It is like having a new baby and life is all about them. I did decide to be a group leader for Emergency Essentials though and Michael has agreed to help out if I have to go out of town unexpectedly. I'm glad to have something to do that will help the families in the ward who want to be prepared. I can't really have a calling with all the traveling that I have to do so this is nice. That's all folks!
More Thor videos
In this video Thor is chasing a light put out by Michael's watch reflecting from the sun. He was quite entertained.
I also got a video of Thor drinking water. Half the time he lays down and I actually got it on video.
