Our move got pushed back one day. I guess the good thing is we get to sleep in our own bed for one more night :-). I've gotten most everything done that is pressing before we move...hence the trip to OKC yesterday. Nothing better than meeting up at the temple and then taking the grand kids to play at McDonald's while mommy and daddy attend a session together. Elisabeth decided she wanted a photo of her on her baptism invitations so we took lots of photos. They all turned out nicely (must have been the beautiful temple grounds and granddaughter!!). Then Ty downloaded them onto his computer so she can decide which one to use.
We are going to spend the month of August in Maryland. Then Wayne has to come back to Texas to finish up working until late October. Then in November we should be permanently in MD.
Michael is all set to go to SVU and I think we are all excited about that. Not much else is new. Just doing tons of stuff associated with moving.

House hunting trip
We went to Maryland this past week/weekend for our home finding trip. The hotel room was way too small for the 3 of us (since we took Michael too) but we had a successful trip. We actually found the home on the first day but wanted to look at everything so we knew we had made the right decision. Michael took pictures but for some reason didn't get one of the front of the home so I took it off of the listing so the first one is theirs but the rest of them are ours.
It is a 4 bedroom up and 2 in the basement home with a living room, family room, formal dining room and room to eat in the kitchen. The back yard is really cool...it is fenced and has two decks and a brick paver patio and fire pit. The basement is walkout with no stairs but that makes it so the yard is really sloped along the sides.
The front room or living room...the furniture is apparently sold but it was very comfy.
The formal dining room...this might be an empty room.
The kitchen...we will have to bring our refrigerator. It is strange but the stove and microwave are EXACTLY like ours now. I love the island and also the green countertops with white cabinets...kinda reminds me of our kitchen in Wichita but much nicer :)
The family room. I like the half wall because we are going to have to use it to make Wayne's computer desk work.We are NOT going to put our TV above the fireplace so that might end up being a bookcase or just a display area of knick knacks. It is hard to see but there is green around the fireplace that matches the countertops in the kitchen and I like it.
This is the master bedroom and bath. The bathroom is huge with an hourglass shaped whirlpool tub (which we will never use). The closet is off the bathroom which was very important to me. The only thing that I didn't like was the the toilet was not behind a door but there was a linen closet in the bathroom which was a plus since we don't have one now.
These next three are upstairs bedrooms.
These last few are of the basement. First the family/recreation room...
Then the two bedrooms.
There is a pet door out the basement back door for our future puppy.
We thought Michael had taken a lot of pictures from every angle when we went back for our third showing but could not find any more pictures anywhere on his camera. I guess such is life. Today we found out that our offer was accepted and we close August 30 so we will only be homeless for one month. It will be a very busy next couple of weeks so I will probably be absent more than present on the blogs.
