More photos of new home

I took some more photos today~first up is the kitchen:
Next is our family room. We brought our LCD TV and finally found the mount so we could hang it. The corner desk is Wayne's and the open roll top is mine. Still figuring out what to do with the fireplace.
OK...these next photos are of the basement. As you can see I am still working on it but you can tell how far I have gotten too. This is our storage room AKA bedroom #6. They finished the entire basement so there is no room for storage. Food storage in right closet and holiday decorations in left closet. Shelves along the walls. I organized and labeled the blue tubs.
Obviously I am NOT finished yet but I am definitely putting a dent in it:
We have a walkout basement!! It makes it SO light down there. Here is the basement bathroom and lastly the previous owners had a shelving unit with shot glasses on it that was held to the wall with screws in those brackets and just left them. So I decided to cover them up with my character cake pans...I just need one more!!
I still have a lot to do down there but I am really making a dent on it.

32 Years

I'm not really much of a sentimental person but today is our 32 year anniversary. I really do have wedding photos but NONE of them are digital yet. I guess I know what one of my projects is going to be this winter. But I did happen to find a couple pictures~
I'm not sure when this was taken but I know it was a LONG time ago but we probably had Diane and Julie at the time.
This one was taken 4 years ago. Wayne was really sick for this trip (we went to Iowa for my MIL's 80th birthday).
This last one is a family photo taken around 1990 or so.

New photos 2!!

I took a few more photos this evening right before dusk.
The front of our new home from across the street. We bought a new doormat before we left Texas and I love it...wonder why???

Above is standing in our front entryway and looking right. The door is the half bath. It is PURPLE much to Wayne's dismay. And of course I have "The Family: A Proclamation to the World" on the left wall but you can't tell that is what it is from this angle.

Below is looking left and you can see half the living room and half the dining room.
Above is the dining room...still lots of trees out the back window and I need to get drapes.

Below is standing in the dining room looking back into the living room. Diane, those are the pictures that I was telling you about.

Two views of the master bedroom. Our queen waterbed looks TINY in our huge bedroom. I still need to figure out a good configuration for our pictures.
The last 2 are of my office/sewing room which right now is only housing Michael's snake so the last 2 are of her (or him?). I still can't believe that I fed her a couple nights ago and all by myself.

Our backyard

I am almost done putting everything up and away here in our new home. I am really enjoying living here. Today it rained for the first time I think since we've been here, or at least for the first time since we have been in our home. I usually don't like rain too much but since it has been so dry here I think I have changed my mind. Or at least I figure if it has to be so humid it could at least rain!! Here are the three photos that I took and YES we have a forest in our back yard. The trees are SO tall that we have to look up when looking out the back of our upstairs windows and that is 3 stories tall since we have a walk-out basement. So without further ado:
Yes, we have a firepit and yes I think I am going to love it!! I will take photos of the inside soon...I promise.

New photos!!

I finally found time to download some pictures that I took on our way home from dropping Michael off at SVU. These were taken in Virginia. The scenery in the East is spectacular (for anyone who wants to come visit, hint hint, we only have 6 bedrooms in our new home and right now we are only using 1).
You can just barely see a house in the above photo. In the next photo I am zoomed in...

These next 4 are just from various angles.
I really LOVE the scenery here. Actually I just really like it here.

I found them!!!

The Makita cordless drill that is and the wall mount for our TV. They were literally in the LAST big box to unpack which was in Michael's room and said Stereo and Speakers Living Room on it. I thought the drill was in the garage at our last home but I guess not. The wall mount WAS however in the family room and we must have used it there last to take down the mount. I guess my family room is their living room. Way excited since I thought they were gone!! I guess I should have gotten Michael's room ready for his bed SOONER!!

K...back to work
