I got my left eye operated on yesterday. It was quite an experience. The Versed didn't seem to work as well this time as last but I survived. What was the most different was that water or saline was just running down my face and into my ear and hair. By the time it was over my hair was soaked. Also, my eye was very sore this time on the trip home. I took some ibuprofen as soon as I got home and fell asleep for like 3 hours though and felt much better. Then I was up for about an hour and fell asleep for another 2 until Wayne woke me up when he came home from work (yes...he had to work after taking me in for surgery in the morning). Then I was up until bedtime but had diffuculty sleeping last night because of all the sleep I had gotten yesterday. I hope I sleep better tonight. Now it seems to be healing well. It feels much better. Light bothers it but I think that I will get used to that with time. My vision was 20/25 which is about what it was last time and the pressure was fine. I go back again in a week and a half. The opthalmologist said that my lens was very thick and he made it sound like it was hard to get out which I have seen before being involved in the surgery as a PA student. As a side note...my nose is very sore. I think that it might be bruised from the surgery or else I am getting a blemish...it is hard to tell at this point. I am also doing much better at seeing while on the computer without glasses...woo hoo!!
That is about all at this time.

Sorry your house is empty, but so glad that you enjoyed everyone being around! Very sorry that the 2nd surgery didn't go as well as the 1st, but also very happy you are feeling better! Hope it continues to do well...and yay for seeing the computer...that is the most important thing ya know!
I am glad that Cynthia and her kiddies are around but wish I could see more of my second daughter and her family. Missing them is the hard part but Yeah!, we have the computer. Hope you will heal fast and be much better with this eye.
I don't like when family leaves. It makes me feel sad and depressed. I am glad your eye sight is better! How cool!
We got to spend Thanksgiving in Kansas and had lots of little kids running around, too. Even though I got to take some of them with me, I miss everyone else. I hate living so far away from family!
I hope you were able to sleep well tonight and that you'll heal okay. Good luck!
I agree, having family leave makes me feel as empty as the rooms they were in.
So....I tried to sew the small area where the stitching came undone. It looks worse. If you have a minute I would love a quick lesson on repairs!
I would love to help you with repairs BUT I can't promise it will look any better than your attempt. Just give me a call...I am available most any time.
I don't even like putting the Christmas stuff away, much less everyone going home!!! I hope you have a speedy recovery and we are thinking of you!
